GEP Academies

This page on the newly merged trust website is to provide legacy information for the Guildford Education Partnership prior to the merged Athena-GEP trust from 01/09/2021.

The Guildford Education Partnership (GEP Academies) Academies was a Multi Academy Trust comprising a cross-phase family of schools. Our shared aim was continuous school improvement through challenge, collaboration and support.

To achieve our aims, we are working in close partnership with the University of Surrey and the Royal Grammar School Guildford.

Complaints

Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs)

Complaints about the award of Teacher Assessed Grades (“TAGs”) as part of the 2021 Summer Exam series are outside the scope of the trust’s complaints policy and will be considered under the published appeals process regarding TAGs for each GEP secondary school. This relates to Fullbrook School, George Abbot School and Kings College Guildford only. This is save for where matters relate to TAGs but lie outside of the remit of this TAG appeal process and at the express discretion of the relevant school e.g.:

1. any decision to withdraw an entry due to insufficient evidence on which to determine a TAG, or not to make an entry in the first place;

2. any failure or delay in offering or following the published appeals process for the school.

Any continuing concerns following completion of this complaints process may subsequently be raised through the awarding organisation’s complaints process.

This is in line with section 6.2 of JCQ Appeals Guidance for Summer-2021.
